The website doesn't work for me. It's been like that for 2 days now.
If it's over $300, it's way too much. It's hardware that is being reported to be just a little more powerful than 7 year old hardware and the touch pad isn't even multi-touch. It's single point. I have no idea why it would cost so much. There's just no way they can price it anywhere near $500.
What's the point? There needs to be some sort of end or goal but I can't see one. You basically go around looking for supplies and fight off zombies and other players. Okay, then what? How do you win? Someone who's played it, explain the point of this game?
I agree with that but I just don't see MS having the games as much as they used to. They don't have many 1st party games and MS seems to be moving more towards the casual market with the Kinect. I've been very disappointed with the 1st party offerings from MS for the past 3 years or so. They spent a fortune on a developer(Rare) so they'd have some good IP's and they basically destroyed them. Now, MS seems to rely on 3rd party developers to offer most of their hardcore ...
Who said MS was going to put Windows 8 on the next Xbox?
That would be pretty pointless for a game console/media hub. They'll create a stripped down OS that will only do what is needed for the next Xbox.
Consoles aren't just about games anymore. They're becoming entertainment/social hubs for the home. DVR is just another part of that philosophy. If MS or Sony don't innovate, they'll be left behind. They are going to add more and more new stuff to their "gaming" machines whether you like it or not.
Sounds to me like they didn't like what they were seeing so they didn't want to show it- not just "polish" like he was saying. I don't have high hopes for this game.
I can't tell if Reggie is just trying to defend some stupid decisions being made by Nintendo or if he was part of those decisions. Either way, the WiiU is not going to do nearly as well as the Wii. I honestly think it will finish third. And did he really say that the Gamecube was the most powerful system 2 gens ago? WTF?
I honestly can't tell if he's that stupid or just trying anything he can to defend the moves Nintendo has made.
If you can't see the EXTREME similarities between Uncharted and Last of Us, I don't know what to tell you. They obviously aren't the same but they both have players shoot others from a 3rd person perspective, have a cover system, and have environment puzzles for them to traverse.
Hell, they made Uncharted so I see no problem with sticking with what they do well. I just don't get why the article can't see the similarities between Uncharted and Last of Us....
Can you really not understand what the article is saying? Can you not understand what I'm saying?
The article isn't talking about making Uncharted again. It's talking about making games just like it because of how successful Uncharted was. It even gives examples like Tomb Raider or Dead Space 3. They are trying to emulate it.
I completely understand that Last of Us has nothing to do with Uncharted. It the same basic kind of game though. A 3...
Umm, isn't Last of Us another Uncharted game just with a different plot, characters, setting? They're all 3rd person action with a cover system.
I don't mind that they are making another Uncharted type game because I really liked them but I don't agree with the title of the article. Naughty Dog IS making another Uncharted. Just with a different story and maybe a few additional play mechanics.
Couldn't care less about trophies. Totally pointless IMO. What's the point? To brag about them to friends? OOOOOOOh, you got a trophy. Why should I care again?
If the trophies actually meant something tangible, then I might give a crap. For example, MS should make those achievement points redeemable for something. Maybe discounts on games or something. Right now achievement points/trophies just seems like a pointless item for people to brag about.
Thanks. Bubs for you.
Do you get Hulu Plus for free with Live Gold?
You're correct. If it ever comes out, it will be free. I gave up hope though, a long time ago. I even think there was a post on N4G that said that the game should be about done because they released some info or music or something and they had previously said that if they released that info, it meant the game was done and about to be released. Well, that was like 6 months ago and I still haven't heard anything about it, so....
EDIT: I went back and found the sto...
We do get ripped off on game prices in the US....just not as bad as them. Most games are WAY too expensive for what they give you. Then most companies expect you to pay $15 for a couple of maps or pay $50 for a years worth of crap.
I really wish you(not you Statix- just gamers in general) sheep would stop buying this crap. The whole industry is starting to do it now.
It's vaporware. They said it would be released like back in 2008 or something.
If a player is way down, they are going to know it whether there's a score board or not. They will lose incentive just on the fact that they know they are getting whooped.
I just don't buy their way of thinking. Imagine if you're watching an NBA or NFL game and there wasn't a scoreboard. You had to wait until the end of the match to see who won. People would be pissed because it would take out all the excitement. The exact same thing applies here.
F you MS. Don't try and sue a guy over your own mistake. You should know that people make a living off of registering domain names in the hopes that companies will want them. You should have registered it BEFORE you revealed your product.
What a bunch of dumbasses.
There will always people that bitch about silly things but the way they ended that series was far from silly. They took a major series that many people love- some more than Star Wars- and made a joke of an ending in many people's opinions.
Not everyone can be satisfied but they could have made an ending that the majority thought was fitting.
